Little Monsters, get ready to go to the Ball with Lady Gaga.

On Wednesday, Mother Monster announced her 2012 world tour dates for her Born This Way Ball, scheduled to begin on Apr. 27 in Seoul, South Korea.

The Born This Way Ball will perform 110 shows around the world. The opening dates are out today, with more announcements to ensue, the 25-year-old Gaga wrote on Twitter.

The tour, which will run through 2013, will include stops in Japan, Singapore and Australia.

All week long, Gaga has been using Twitter to update her fans on details of the Born This Way Ball, including stage sketches, seating arrangements (note: the Monster Pit), the set list, dress code and official poster.

Gaga also revealed that every night fans from the Monster Pit will be chosen by her people (Haus of Gaga) to go backstage and meet the singer.

Gaga's last world tour, The Monster Ball Tour, grossed more than 227 million in ticket sales, thanks to some 200 shows, 2.5 million fans and nearly 2 years of touring. The tour is the 16th highest grossing tour of all time, right behind Bruce Springsteen's 2007 Magic Tour, which grossed more than $235 million. The Monster Ball Tour was also made into an HBO special which aired last May.

On Feb. 3, Gaga was awarded with the Major Tour of the Year award from Pollstar (Adele took home Best New Touring Artist and Roger Waters took home Most Creative Stage Production).

Ah! Such a tremendous honor, The Monsterball won TOUR OF THE YEAR at the Pollstar Awards last night. Thank you so much!!! Next tour is soon! Gaga wrote the following day.

Gaga's new world tour is in support of her second studio album, Born This Way. Since its May 2011 release, the album has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide, and has spawned hits like The Edge of Glory, You and I and Marry the Night.

Lady Gaga's tour announcement comes just one day after Madonna announced dates for her MDNA world tour. The 53-year-old Material Girl, who has been receiving much praise for her Super Bowl halftime gig, will begin her tour in Tel Aviv on May 29.
