Rebecca Taylor presented mistresses of the night--rocker chic models were not afraid to Rock the Night.

Sitting in the front row were fashion favorites like Olivia Palermo and former America's Next Top Model judge Ms. Jay. Media cameras caught the madness of the scene, as New York Fashion Week attendees herded into the theatre at Lincoln Center for a glimpse of Taylor's Fall 2012 wear.

There was not an inch of room to spare in the entire venue, as onlookers packed in and craned their necks for a view of the runway.

Models dressed in moody shades of mauve, black, charcoal and copper. It was a nod to bohemian whim and femme punk. The babes strutted down the runway to gritty tunes like Rock the Night.

Rebecca Taylor presented a collection full of draped skirts, loose trousers, baggy striped sweaters, leggings accented with lace, jackets splattered with leopard print and gold glitter, peplum tops and vintage floral prints.

The collection showed a darker side of Taylor, who usually opts for more light, feminine pieces.

Runway Rewind: For Spring 2012, Taylor present a collection of airy printed dresses in cream, citrus, lemon and cornflower blue. She chose asymmetrical silhouettes, off-the-shoulder tops and breezy chiffon fabrics to welcome spring.
