New York Fashion Week 2012: Rebecca Minkoff Celebrates the Fearless Woman [PHOTOS]

For her Fall 2012 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York on Friday, Rebecca Minkoff captured the essence of a fearless woman determined to celebrate independence in the moment.

Using bold jewel tones paired with primary colors, the 28-piece collection had origami and kaleidoscope prints paired with brocade, tweed and silk. The pieces ranged from biker jackets to racer and motocross pants and skirts to Hendrix ankle pants to drop shoulder blazers and blanket coats and vests all while showcasing the female form which emanated self-confidence. Models wore a side part updo with rolls and loose pieces catching air as they walked to Theophilus London singing "I Stand Alone," which opened the show.

Held in the theatre at the tents at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, more than one thousand people attended the show with began and ended with London performing live with two guitarists. The show was attended by celebrities like J. Alexander, Abigail Breslin, Nikki Reed, Kristin Chenoweth and Beverly Johnson.
