AT&T may be getting ready to release the Nokia Lumia 900 on March 18, and dramatic price drops of two Windows Phone devices could be a clue to its imminent debut.

At the end of January, an AT&T insider revealed an internal company memo with the Lumia 900 info, tech blog BGR reported. It could launch with a $100-on-contract price tag, and the HTC Titan II could be coming on the same day. In preparation of the launch, the original HTC Titan is now only a penny on contract (Web-only price).

This is nearly as noteworthy as the Lumia release itself because the Titan was $200 only one month ago. Because it's one cent on the Web site likely means it's still $200 at AT&T stores. That's just confusing. Maybe AT&T will stop selling it altogether when the Titan II drops, but that is only a guess.

Nokia is further rumored to be selling the Lumia 900 for $100 on contract, but that is not official. No word yet on the Titan II price. We do know both devices are 4G LTE-enabled, something the original Titan did not have. AT&T's addition of the Samsung Galaxy Note may have been the original death knell of the HTC Titan, but the Titan II and Lumia 900 could do away with it for good.

While the Titan II is also bringing a huge 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with its 4.7-inch screen, it's not quite the looker the Lumia 900 is. Compared with Nokia's latest, the Titan II is rather boxy, and it doesn't come in the eye-catching cyan color the Lumia series of devices offers.

The Lumia 900 also features a fine camera, this one with Nokia's famous Carl Zeiss-inspired lenses. It doesn't have a 4.7-inch screen like the Titan, but it does offer a 4.3-inch AMOLED display and a matte finish and uniform body design that is eye-catching. Microsoft and Nokia are rumored to be spending much more money on marketing the Lumia 900, so that campaign should start any day now that the new iPad announcement is out of the way. There's even a banner on the AT&T Web site heralding that something new is coming to its lineup.
