Frank Martin is expected to meet with South Carolina Gamecocks officials on Monday to talk about becoming the men's basketball team's next head coach, according to CBSSports.com.

Reports have surfaced that Martin has already agreed to become the coach and that he will be introduced in South Carolina as early as Tuesday. However, CBSSports called those reports premature, and that no deal is done yet.

Martin just finished his fifth season as Kansas State Wildcats head coach, having led the team to three straight NCAA tournaments. The Wildcats were eliminated in this year's NCAA tournament by Syracuse in the Round of 32.

Martin signed a new contract with Kansas State in 2010. According to the Kansas City Star, the deal runs through 2015 and pays him an average of $1.55 million per year after signing bonuses, but before performance-based bonuses.

If the hire becomes official, Martin will be replacing Darrin Horn, who South Carolina fired after four seasons as head coach.
