The chairman of a prominent anti-gay organization admitted that as a child he felt a physical attraction toward men, but insisted it was absolutely impossible that he is a homosexual when pressed on the issue during an interview on The David Pakman Show on Wednesday.

Paul Cameron, the chairman of the Family Research Institute, explained a series of statements he made last week during an interview with the Voice of Christian Youth America, when he denounced President Barack Obama's endorsement of same-sex marriage and suggested the president himself might be gay.

Cameron, who said he knows of gay members of the National Press Club who have claimed to have had sex with the president -- he suggested one of these claims was particularly credible because the man allegedly had Obama's cell phone number -- said those stories, combined with the president's recent endorsement and ties to Hollywood make it plausible that he is secretly a homosexual.

If you look at his connections with Hollywood... as Liz Taylor said, 'Without gays there is no Hollywood, Cameron said in the rambling, 13-minute interview.

When Pakman pressed Cameron about his earlier claim that the long term goal of the homosexual movement is to get every little boy to grab his ankles and every little girl to give it a try, Cameron stuck by his earlier statement, albeit with a questionable line of reasoning.

In those societies in which homosexuality get a fair degree of prominence -- for instance, Afghanistan; for instance, Pakistan -- you have an enormous.... Incorporation of children into homosexuality, he said, adding that if homosexuality is accepted by society it will normalize a culture of pederasty in the U.S.

Finally, Cameron argued that its quite possible for individuals to choose the gender they are sexuality attracted to -- because he did it himself. The 72-year-old acknowledged that as a 3-year-old he was raped by a man, and subsequently experienced feelings for men until he approached his adolescent years.

As you're probably aware, I was seduced, or raped, as a child... I was raped homosexually. Had that continued, I don't know where I would have ended up, Cameron said. I do know that the culture, which was directed toward heterosexuality, overcame whatever feelings I had -- and I had some, that I acquired as a 3-year-old -- and by the time I was 9 or 10, I was thoroughly interested in girls.

When asked if he himself is gay, Cameron replied that gay is a political term, but insisted he is not interested in homosexual relations.

Cameron established the Family Research Institute -- originally known as the Scientific Investigation of Sexuality -- in 1982; as chairman he has authored several papers associating homosexuality with the perpetration of child sexual abuse and reduced life expectancy.

In 1999, Cameron was quoted in Rolling Stone as saying that because homosexual sex is more pleasurable than heterosexual sex, if gay and lesbian culture is tolerated by society homosexuality will become the predominant sexual preference within a few generations.
