Lady Gaga, the American pop singer-songwriter and Polaroid's creative director, released new products at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011.

The company’s collaboration with Gaga brought out a new product range known as “Grey Label by Haus of Gaga.”

Polaroid released the new range of products -- the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer, GL30 Instant Digital Camera and the GL20 Camera Glasses -- on Thursday.

“This is the first ever pair of sunglasses that can be worn out to protect your eyes from the sun and they can also take pictures,” Lady Gaga said.

The fashionable sunglasses can shoot pictures as well as capture video. A memory stick in one of the earpieces acts as a storage medium. The images or video can be retrieved using a USB to a printer, or the images can be transferred using Bluetooth.

Lady Gaga, recalling how this idea was framed, said “When I did the Fame Ball tour, I made these glasses out of iPod screens that I strung together to create glasses that could play movies and I thought wouldn't it be wonderful if these were functional.”

Kodak did not release the price and availablity of the sunglasses.

The GL10 Instant Mobile Printer can print pictures wirelessly from camera phones and the camera sunglasses. It can print 3x4-inch photos within 60 seconds. It is not compatible with the Apple iPhone because of Apple’s restrictions on the apps available on the phone. The GL10 is priced at $150 and will be available in April.

The GL30 Instant Digital Camera combines instant Polaroid printing and a digital camera, giving users the option of printing photos instantly or later. Zero Ink (ZINK) technology is used in this gadget, in which the machine does not use ink or cartridges but prints by heating up colored crystals in the photo paper. The ZINK Paper is a composite material with cyan, yellow, and magenta dye crystals embedded in it. Before printing, the embedded dye crystals are clear, so the paper appears white. The GL10 uses heat to activate and colorize the crystals. The device will be available later this year.

Polaroid will also introduce a free Android app for editing as well as adding borders and special Polaroid filters to enhance pictures prior to printing. The company said apps for the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer on other mobile platforms will be introduced throughout 2011.

“I suppose many of you here are nerdy enough to carry around a mobile printer with you, she said. I know I will,” Lady Gaga said.
