Ashleigh and her brown cocker spaniel Pudsey, stole the hearts of Britain on Saturday night as they won Britain's Got Talent 2012 with an adorable Mission Impossible themed act.

The duo have been wowing judges and audiences for weeks with their dynamic performances exhibiting an extraordinary skill-set from the six-year-old pooch.

On Saturday, Ashleigh and Pudsey swept 39 per cent of the public vote battling against 10 other acts to win the £500,000 prize and a spot to perform in the Royal Variety Show.

Ashleigh, 17, who has had Pudsey since she was 11, says her dream would be to go to Hollywood and do films and adverts with Pudsey. He is perfect. If he sees a camera, he poses and holds his position, she told the Daily Record. I would like to set up my own business getting film work for dogs or animals, she added.

Ashleigh and Pudsey have been favorites to win the show from the beginning. Simon Cowell commended the pair each week for upping their performance and introducing new dynamic one of a kind routines.

Ashleigh and Pudsey have competed in numerous competitions prior to Britain's Got Talent. They represented Britain in the 2010 European Open Agility Championships, according to the Daily Mail. Here are Ashleigh and Pudsey's best moments from the show:

The Second favorite act in the competition was the opera duo Jonathan and Charlotte, who received 25.8 percent of the votes. The Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud came third with 15.8 percent of the overall vote. The gap between the opera duo and Ashleigh and Pudsey was narrow and comments posted on the Britain's Got Talent site, showed some disappointment in the final result.

I'm so disappointed that Jonathan and Charlotte didn't win. You guys did an amazing job and I am sure there is a very bright future ahead of you!! All the best :) I will be keeping an eye on your future performances, April3033 wrote.

Others thought Ashleigh and Pudsey were the rightful winners. I am so glad that Ashleigh and Pudsey won BGT 2012. They are a remarkable pair. It is so hard to train a dog to this high standard Pudsey is a clever and adorable dog. They are what the true spirit of this country is about. Taking part and enjoying every moment, whilst entertaining us. I loved them and I wish them the best for a rewarding future. Here's to the Royal Variety Performance and perhaps a future in television, wrote Maxine63.

Pudsey has become the most popular dog in Britain and will be insured for millions of pounds, according to his agent Jonathan Schalit, the Daily Record reported.
