The “Bachelorette” family just grew by one. Season 7 star Ashley Hebert and husband J.P. Rosenbaum welcomed their first child on Tuesday. The new dad confirmed the birth of their baby boy to Us Weekly early Tuesday afternoon.

“Both mom and baby are doing great and we are so so happy to welcome little Fordy to the world!!!” J.P. said in a statement to the magazine. “Cutest little baby on the planet.”

The adorable nickname, Fordy, is short for Fordham. The baby was born weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 18.5 inches.

Ashley and J.P., who wed in December 2012, announced the baby's due date on “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” special in July. While all eyes were supposed to be on contestant Andi Dorfman and her rejected men, the crowd couldn’t contain their excitement over Ashley and J.P.’s pregnancy news.

The couple said at the time that Oct. 7 was the due date for their little bundle of joy, but as viewers now know, Fordham came a week early! “Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison sat down with the duo to perform a live ultrasound during “The Men Tell All” special. They were happy to tell fans that they’d be welcoming a baby boy.

For the past week, the new parents hinted on social media that the arrival of their son was near. On Sept. 25, J.P. posted a photo of his wife on Instagram, captioning the image, “Soakin’ in these last moments with my gorgeous wife and the #Rosenbump. #priceless.”

Ashley shared a photo the following day, posting, “Sometimes I surprise myself. This has to be the last weekend!!?!!? #FrontHeavy #BBayr.”
