Sony also will have a “Batman: Arkham Knight” PlayStation 4 bundle available for $399.99 that will include a black PS4 and DualShock 4 controller and the game.

Anyone who orders the PlayStation 4 version of “Batman: Arkham Knight” will gain access to bonus downloadable content, including in-game missions and customized skins for Batman and the Batmobile.

“Batman: Arkham Knight” will be the fourth game and final installment in the “Arkham” series, which kicked off with “Batman: Arkham Asylum” in 2009. “Arkham Knight” originally was scheduled for release last October, but it was rumored the game was only 40 percent finished in May of 2014. The game’s delayed release was confirmed in early June.

“Arkham Knight” will be the first game in the series that will allow users to drive the Batmobile. Developer Rocksteady created the Batmobile to be nearly invincible -- it will have the ability to perform burnouts, jumps and boosts -- while simultaneously being bulletproof. The setting of “Arkham Knight” will be five times bigger than “Arkham City” (the second game in the series) and 20 times larger than “Arkham Asylum.”
