Two bodies were found at the Beverly Hilton, hours before the 2012 Emmy Awards, and investigators believe it was a murder-suicide. The deaths will not affect the Daytime Emmy Awards scheduled for later, according to the Associated Press.

The Beverly Hilton is the posh hotel where singer Whitney Houston died in February. Houston drowned in a bathtub in her hotel suite shortly before the pre-Grammy gala hosted by record executive Clive Davis, which was being held downstairs.

Police told the media they were called to the scene Friday and found the bodies of an elderly man and woman at the hotel dead from gunshot wounds. Their identities were not released and police didn't say what were the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Investigators believe they are the victims of a murder-suicide, police spokesman Mark Rosen said. He gave no other details.
