Beyoncé and Jay Z are reportedly working hard to make sure their marriage lasts, amid reports that Jay Z has not been completely committed lately to their union. The celebrity couple have allegedly been seeing a counselor three times a week in order to work things out.
OK! Magazine reports Beyoncé and Jay Z have taken advice from a close friend, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who suggested therapy. She and husband Chris Martin recently announced they were splitting up, after 10 years of marriage. They still are living together, however, and recently were seen “giggling together like a romantic couple” during a dinner date in California. So it is possible that they are in therapy and it is working for them.
Since the May elevator fight involving Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange and Jay Z, rumors have quickly spread that everything is not right in the Knowles-Carter household.
On May 5, during the confrontation that took place after the Met Gala in New York, Solange, Beyoncé and Jay Z got into an elevator with Beyoncé’s bodyguard, and Solange is seen kicking Jay Z in a video obtained by TMZ. Beyoncé seems to do nothing as she stands next to her husband. At one point, Beyoncé’s bodyguard has to hold Solange back. But that does not keep her from kicking Jay Z. Toward the end of the video, Beyoncé seems to block Solange from Jay Z, and though there is no audio, it is evident that she is saying something to her husband.
When the trio exited the elevator, Solange and Beyoncé left the event in one car, while Jay Z left in another.
It is unclear what triggered the fight, but there were rumors that Jay Z and designer Rachel Roy were getting a little too close for comfort at the gala.
OK! reports that in front of Beyoncé, he called Roy and ended their relationship. “No more cozy dinners, no more late-night phone calls,” says the source. “He’s even deleted her number from his phone.”
