Beyoncé kicked off her new world tour Monday night in Belgrade, Serbia.
“The Mrs. Carter Show" tour, named for her husband Jay-Z’s legal name, Shawn Carter, is set to travel to 15 European countries before coming to the United States June 28. Beyoncé’s last major tour, in 2009, was the “I Am ..." world tour. She and Jay-Z had their first child, Blue Ivy, last year.
Though many fans were expecting Beyoncé to debut new songs during this tour, she stuck to hits that fans already know, such as “End of the World.”
Beyoncé’s elaborate wardrobe, which included sparkly bodysuits, was designed by British designer Julien. Also involved in costume design were Emilio Pucci Creative Director Peter Dundas and Dsquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten, as well as Ralph and Russo. Stuart Weitzman designed the star's shoes.
Beyoncé has 64 more shows on the tour, including an Aug. 3 performance at Barclay’s Center in New York City, where she and her family currently reside.
