After rumors circulated this month that Beyoncé is pregnant, it has been confirmed that the 31-year-old superstar is expecting baby No. 2 with husband Jay-Z. Beyoncé, who is currently on a world tour that heads to New York in August, had previously not addressed the speculation about her expecting another child.

However, sources confirmed to E! News that she and her husband are adding an addition to their family. They are already the parents to 1-and-a-half-year-old Blue Ivy. Beyoncé was first rumored to be pregnant just last week, when she brought 1-and-a-half-year-old Blue Ivy on stage during her world tour. When the singer bent over to grab her baby's hand, a small bump was visible beneath her skin-tight bodysuit.

Then at the Met Gala a few days later in New York, the megastar stunned in a Givenchy gown, but her midsection was hidden with a large black belt. Insiders told the New York Post’s Page Six at that time that Beyoncé is in fact expecting her second child.

She then canceled a tour date in Belgium on May 14. Her publicist emailed the Associated Press, stating that doctors advised the singer to rest due to exhaustion and dehydration. The statement, in part, said that “she is awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision” about her next tour date, which is scheduled for Wednesday in the same arena, the Sportpaleis in Antwerp.

Last January, Beyoncé spoke about having more children, saying, “I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister.” When asked when she would have another child, she simply replied, “At some point when it’s supposed to happen.”
