If you’ve been looking for a time to expand your video game library, Black Friday is bound to be a boon for your favorite hobby. The days after Thanksgiving are prime time for price drops, especially for fans of Microsoft’s console, the Xbox One.

Whether you’re looking to pick up one of the newest variations of the current generation gaming console or you already have the system set up and you’re after some new games to play as winter comes around, these are the best deals you’ll find for the Xbox One.

Microsoft Xbox One S

First unveiled last year, the Xbox One S is a great entry point for those who haven’t yet entered the current console generation. The slimmed down version of the Xbox One—it’s 40 percent smaller than the original—includes support for 4K resolution and high dynamic range (HDR) color. It’s an upgrade over the original with the exact same compatibility, and the 500GB model is on sale all over the place during Black Friday.

  • Best Buy - $189.99

  • GameStop - $189.99

  • Amazon.com - $189.99

  • Newegg - $189.99

  • Walmart - $189.99

While basically every retailer has the Xbox One S available for $189.99 (it’s the official Black Friday pricing set by Microsoft), there are a number of retailers offering perks for those who grab the while it’s on sale.

  • Kohl’s - $189.99 (includes $45 Kohl’s gift card)

  • Target - $189.99 (includes $25 Target gift card)

  • Microsoft Store $189.99 (includes one-month Xbox Game Pass trial, plus one of five Ubisoft games: Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection , Hasbro Family Fun Pack , Just Dance 2018 , Steep or Watch Dogs 2 Gold Edition)

There are also a number of Xbox One S bundles that will throw in a game with the purchase of the console.

  • Toys R Us is offering $50 off all of its Xbox One S bundles through November 27. The bundles include 500GB models of the console with Madden NFL 18 , Forza Horizon 3 , Battlefield 1 , and 1TB models with Gears of War 4 or Forza Horizon 3 .

  • Walmart also will take $50 off a number of Xbox One S console bundles.

  • GameStop is offering $50 off the 1TB models of the Xbox One S that come bundled with a game.

Microsoft Xbox One X

The Xbox One X is the latest iteration of Microsoft’s current generation console that gives it a power boost that the original and Xbox One S don’t have. With upgraded internal hardware, the console is capable of displaying games in 4K resolution and allows gamers to enjoy their favorite titles at a faster frame rate.

Because the console is so new, first dropping on November 7, and is expected to be in high demand among gamers looking for an upgrade, finding an Xbox One X might be a challenge. Finding one at a discount could prove next to impossible.

Most stores have the Xbox One X listed at its retail price of $499. It can be purchased online through the Microsoft Store, Amazon, GameStop and Newegg, among others. It’s worth noting that most online storefronts list the Xbox One X as a pre-order or as out of stock and likely will not deliver the console immediately.

Big box retailers like Best Buy, Target and Walmart are all expected to have at least some quantities of the console in stock for the big shopping days—though don’t expect to find them available at a discount.

Microsoft Xbox 360

For those not interested in the latest and greatest who just want to enjoy some games in their free time without breaking the bank, the previous generation of Microsoft’s console is also available during Black Friday, and you probably won’t find a better deal.

GameStop is basically giving the Xbox 360 away for free. Purchase the console from the gaming retail and it will offer a $59.99 mail-in rebate—the same price it is charging for the console. Fair warning: the console is prone to defects, but when you get it for free there isn’t much to lose.

Xbox One Games

For gamers looking for some new titles to get them through the winter, Black Friday is a great time to pick up new releases titles at a steep discount. Here’s where to get the best savings on Xbox One games.
