On top of trying to figure out her real identity, "Blindspot's" leading lady Jane (Jaimie Alexander) may soon be juggling a possible romance. Creator and executive producer Martin Gero knows fans are interested in seeing Jane and Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) explore their connection a little more, and teased that sparks may start to fly between them.

“They’re arguably the most important person in [each other’s] lives, and that’s a heady, heavy, complicated thing," Gero told TV Line. "So, seeing them try to navigate that is a lot of fun. They’re going to make a lot of mistakes, there are going to be some ups and downs, and there will be some really confused emotions. It’s a rollercoaster.”

Stapleton previously told TV Guide that Jane finding out she is Taylor Shaw, his childhood who went missing, could help "cement that connection" between them. However, it was revealed in last week's episode 4 that even though Jane's DNA matched Taylor's, her tooth was not.

"It's a great way to restart their relationship," Stapleton told the site.

Gero added that there's definitely an "enormous amount of chemistry and electricity" between Jane and Weller, but wouldn't say if the characters would explore that connection.

"This is a girl he’s been looking for since he was 10," Gero explained. "Her disappearance defined his entire life… They have a very deep and powerful emotional connection- and they’re both very good-looking people, so you never know."

As previously reported, in Monday's Oct. 19 episode Jane will meet Weller's sister Sarah (Jordana Spiro), but abruptly leaves the dinner when she becomes overwhelmed. Jane tells Weller that she's having a hard time identifying as Taylor.

"Blindspot" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
