NBC’s “Blindspot” is bringing back a fan favorite character to spice things up and infuse a little humor in Season 2.
Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) is returning to the series in Season 2, episode 7, Entertainment Weekly reports. The once rich tech criminal will be back on the FBI radar next week. He is seen sporting prison attire and seeking the protection of the bureau. The official synopsis of the upcoming episode on “Blindspot” states that Rich Doctom returns to the FBI when he needs help with a pressing issue.
Last time we saw the escaped convict, he told the bureau that he would deliver one of the world’s most wanted terrorist named Shohid Ahktar to them. He claimed that Ahktar would want to purchase the famous Gardner paintings. And these paintings were in the possession of an art professor/burglar.
Of course, stealing the paintings meant implementing a well thought out art heist. After the FBI stole the paintings and met Ahktar for the exchange, Rich conveniently escaped their custody and ran off with the priceless Gardner paintings. It will be surprising to see him ask the FBI for help since he double crossed them the last time they worked with him. It surely must be something life threatening since he’s reaching out to the feds for help.
Although the synopsis teases of Rich’s return, the promo of “Resolves Eleven Myths” paints a different picture. The trailer reveals that an active shooter has infiltrated the FBI. Patterson discovers that this assassin is linked to a number of high profile deaths in the last 10 years.
The end of the preview shows Patterson getting injured after an explosion occurs inside the building.
“Blindspot” Season 2, episode 7 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
