It’s no secret that the Brown and Houston families do not get along, but Bobbi Kristina’s cousin, Jerod Brown, has extended his well wishes to the Houstons in a Facebook post. He thanked everyone for the prayers they sent to Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of late pop legend Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown, and then seemingly extended a truce to the Houston family.

“To the Houston family, we love you guys and we all will get through this one day at a time,” he wrote late Thursday. “To my family, let us all continue to embrace one another and see to it that uncle Bobby knows he has a beautiful family to lean on in this time of despair.”

It’s an unexpected move, especially since Jerod’s mother, Leolah Brown, slammed the Houstons a day earlier. She specifically called out Whitney Houston’s sister, Pat, and then said both Whitney and Bobby Kristina were murdered. "I never have said anything until Whitney was murdered and now my niece Bobbi Kristina!” she wrote in the Facebook post Thursday.

Jerod seemed more concerned about remembering his late cousin. “Though this is the end of her journey here on Earth, I can only hope for many it has been the beginning of a better relationship with the man upstairs,” he wrote. The post had received more than 1,600 likes by Friday morning.

Bobbi Kristina died at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia last Sunday after she was found unconscious and facedown in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia home Jan. 31. She was 22.

Her death is being investigated as a homicide. Her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is a person of interest, but he has not been charged with a crime. He reportedly is not welcomed to attend Bobbi Kristina’s funeral service, which will take place Saturday, according to sources.
