She has been faking how bad her concussion is following her altercation with Quinn in the hopes she will eventually find a way to win Eric back. However, Sheila will be stunned when she learns he has brought none other than James Warwick back to town in an effort to determine how her health fares on the Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

After an altercation with Quinn (Rena Sofer) that ended after she received a concussion, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was delighted when Eric (John McCook) offered her a room to stay in as she recovered. However, he was also quick to warn her on the CBS soap that once she was well, she needed to leave. Since she wants to win him back again and take him from Quinn, Sheila has been working overtime at convincing Eric that she isn't better and needs to stay put.

However, now, she is stunned that he called a new doctor to check on her, and that doctor is none other than her own ex-husband, James Warwick (Ian Buchanan).

Naturally, after Eric leaves them alone and Sheila is examined, her ex will realize she's perfectly fine, and he will begin to question her motives and what she's really up to.

"Eric asked me to evaluate you," he says n a preview clip. "It's apparent that you're well enough to leave this house, but it's also apparent that you don't want to."

Sheila will need to try and find a way to convince her ex that the best thing for her is to be with Eric, and may even try to convince her ex to go along with her plans as well.

Meanwhile, Bill's (Don Diamont) efforts to take Spectra down will continue, as he decides to keep going along with the plot to keep Thomas (Pierson Fode) away by lying that Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) is dying. However, he is still finding some resistance, and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who has agreed to go along with it, will continue warning him that Liam (Scott Clifton) may be a liability, especially since he is currently interviewing Sally (Courtney Hope) about her plans for the future.

"I'm just saying that he knows that you're lying about Caroline dying," she says in the clip. "I wonder if it was the best idea to put him on this assignment with Sally."

Sure enough, Liam is finding it hard to not tell Sally the truth about what's going on, as she has already asked him if she is on a level playing field because she suspects Bill is trying something against her. He managed to keep her at bay for a bit, but will find himself torn over whether or not to tell her the truth, especially as she starts to break down over Thomas being gone.

"I just feel so empty. Like I've lost a part of myself," Sally cries.
