He had hoped that he would succeed at getting the Spectra building for himself so he could end the charade about his niece's health that she asked him to stop. However, after realizing that his plan has once again been foiled, Bill will unleash a new attempt to take down the company that stands in the way of his new skyscraper on the Thursday, Aug. 17 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

After Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) demanded he end the charade to Thomas (Pierson Fode) that she was dying of an autoimmune disorder, Bill (Don Diamont) reached out to make a new offer on the Spectra building, However, he learned on the CBS soap that CJ (Mick Cain) instead gave Sally (Courtney Hope) one more chance to make money off of her new line, meaning he still can't buy the building, bulldoze it, and then rebuild on the land.

Because he still hasn't gotten his way, Bill will now decide to postpone the news of a "miracle cure" to ensure Thomas stays away from Sally and L.A., and he will bring Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in on his plans this time around. Though she will be on board with doing whatever it takes to bring Spectra and Sally down however, she will warn Bill that Liam (Scott Clifton) won't likely go along with the plan at all, and will resist it from the start.

"I think you're pushing it," Steffy says in a preview clip.

"How's that?" Bill asks.

"Liam already feels guilty about going along with the whole Caroline's dying secret," Steffy warns.

Bill won't be concerned about his son's concerns with the plan however, since he wants to do whatever he can to make sure he gets his way.

Meanwhile, after barely surviving another attempt by Bill to sabotage her company, Sally will be fired up to once again prove her worth, and in a follow-up interview about her plans with Liam, she will tell him his father won't get away with trying to take her down.

"Bill should seriously pick on someone his own size," she says in the clip.

When Liam then asks her for more details about what she plans to do and hopes to accomplish, and Sally will admit that what she wants is success and to prove she can be a legitimate designer running a legitimate fashion house, and while she knows that she has proven herself in terms of fighting back against those who are trying to tear her down, she wants to be given the fair shot she knows she deserves.

"I will do whatever it takes to prove that I deserve a spot at the table," she says. "If, huge if, I am playing on a level field."

However, Sally doesn't know that she still isn't, although if his guilt gets the best of him, Liam could be persuaded to tell her the truth.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
