Google is planning to bring Google Assistant to headphones through its new project codenamed “bisto.” Now, it looks like Bose's upcoming QuietComfort 35 II will be the very first pair of bisto headphones.

Earlier this week, a graphic inside the Google Assistant iOS app was discovered depicting a pair of over-the-ear wireless headphones. The design matches the strings of code found inside the Google app and may be the device that’s codenamed “baywolf.” It is now believed that this is the Bose QuietComfort 35 II.

9To5Google has seen the Bose documentation of the upcoming wireless headphones and it clearly states that it will feature Google Assistant. “With your Google Assistant built in, you can control music, send & receive texts, and get answers using just your voice. Just press and hold the Action button, and start talking,” part of the product sheet read.

Shortly after 9To5Google’s report, a user on Reddit shared alleged images of the retail box of the Bose QuietComfort 35 II. The back of the device’s retail box also features a “Google Assistant built-in” logo. Moreover, the retail box shows that the left cup of the headphones comes with the mentioned Action button, which isn’t found on any of Bose’s previous products.

Last month, The Verge published a photo of the upcoming wireless headphones, which the site acquired through an official newsletter from Bose. At the time, it was speculated to be just a follow-up to last year's model.

Overall, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II appears to look very similar to its predecessor. The only real difference here is the presence of the new Action button. It’s believed that the wireless headphones will be available in two color options: black and silver.

As for other specs, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II is expected to have an adjustable noise cancellation feature and a noise-rejecting dual microphone. The microphone technology will be able to provide “clear calls and accurate Google Assistant response” even in noisy environments.

Battery life of the new Bose wireless headphones is listed as 20 hours, while the device itself will only weigh 5.7 ounces. The new QC35 II will include a carrying case, USB cable for charging and a 3.5mm audio cable for optional wired listening.

The original QuietComfort 35 costs AU$499 in Australia, and its successor is expected to be priced the same. In the US, Bose is currently selling the wireless headphones at a discounted price of $329.95 down from $349.95.

The Bose QuietComfort 35 II is expected to arrive in 2-3 weeks, according to one of 9To5Google’s tipsters from Australia. Google just announced that it will be having a special event on Oct. 4, where the new Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones are expected to be announced.

Google’s October event appears to be the perfect time and place to announce the new Google Assistant Bose headphones. The company might also unveil two other “bisto” headphones at the event, since devices codenamed as “apollo” and “scout” were also spotted within the Google app earlier this week.
