New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and actor Bradley Cooper visited Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman at the Boston Medical Center on Thursday.

Edelman tweeted a picture of his visit, saying: “Visited #survivor #stud #hero Jeffrey Bauman Jr. today. He was looking great and is a true inspiration. #strong”

Bauman, 27, of Chelmsford, Mass., lost both of his legs below the knee in the explosion near the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday. The bombing survivor became one of the faces of the Marathon incident when the Associated Press captured a now iconic picture of him getting wheeled to emergency medical treatment shortly after the attack.
