Brazil saw off Egypt 2-0 in an International Friendly in Doha, with two goals from Valencia forward Jonas.

It was their fifth consecutive victory, as they sit out of the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup, as hosts.

Mano Menezes' men were initially pegged back after a strong start from Egypt. But in Porto star Hulk, they had their post potent threat. He came close with a powerful drive, on 26 minutes, which flew just above the crossbar.

With six minutes till half-time, Brazil scored with Hulk playing the cross across goal which was tapped in by Jonas.

Jonas came close again, seconds after the restart, after he had beaten El-Shenawi but saw his shot cleared off the line by Ahmed Hegazi.

It wasn't long before Brazil scored the all-important second. On 59 minutes, Jonas was at hand to pounce on the rebound and finish after El-Shenawi had done well to keep out Bruno Cesar's deflected free-kick.

The second goal all but settled the low-key affair, which was watched by a crowd just under 20,000.
