A new breast feeding doll manufactured in Europe called The Breast Milk Baby is set to be available for purchase in US stores in the near future.

The company, Berjuan Toys based in Spain, updated their website on Monday, stating they plan to meet with US retail chains and stores to bring the world's first breastfeeding baby doll to the American market. The doll will also be showcased at the ASD trade show in Las Vegas later this month.

The breast feeding doll is meant to let young girls express their love and affection in the most natural way possible, by simulating natural nursing, according to the company website. It is approved for children two years and older.

The doll simulates the act of breast feeding, when the owner dons a halter top called the magic top with two flowers in the place of nipples. When the doll is held up to the flowers, it makes sucking sounds mimicking the sounds of an infant breast feeding.

Since reports of the breast feeding doll has graced media headlines prompting controversial attention, U.S. spokesman for Berjuan Toys, Dennis Lewis, made a statement via the company website. Breastfeeding is good for babies, it's good for mommies and it's good for society. We really don't understand why this has created such controversy, he said.

The Breast Milk Baby will first be displayed during the ASD trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center July 31 to August 3. The breast feeding doll is currently on sale on thebreastmilkbaby.com for $89 with six dolls to choose from along with company logo merchandise.
