Bristol Palin turns 21 today.

The eldest daughter of Sarah Palin, who will not be running for president as was speculated, has had a busy year.

She released a memoir in June, titled Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far.

She will also be starring in a reality-TV show, A&E Network and BIO Channel executive vice president of programming David McKillop announced in May.

Bristol is the kind of personality BIO is drawn to, McKillop said in a statement.
