Britain's Tesco Relaunches Price War
Britain's largest retailer Tesco relaunched a price war on Friday, ending a months-long detente that saw supermarket chains focusing their advertising campaigns on higher priced organic and natural foods.
Tesco, where a third of Britons buy their groceries, said it would make 270 million pounds' ($532 million) worth of price cuts starting next week. It said it was its biggest-ever price-cut campaign.
