Caitlyn Jenner revealed her new look and name to the world Monday when the cover of Vanity Fair was released. While she was widely praised for her glamorous magazine cover, she was also compared to “American Horror Story” star Jessica Lange.

Some people questioned if the two stars resembled each one another:

Other Twitter users praised Jenner for the similarity between her and Lange:

One of the most high-profile people to make the comparison was rapper Azealia Banks. “Caitlyn Jenner looks exactly like Jessica Lange. Wow!” she wrote Monday.

When asked about the resemblance, Lange told the Daily Beast, "That's so wonderful." She hadn't seen the picture of Jenner yet, but vowed to look for it. Jenner didn't address the resemblance, but instead issued a general tweet after the cover dropped. “I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn,” she wrote Monday. “Can't wait for you to get to know her/me.” The post was shared more than 140,000 times. After a few short hours on Twitter, Jenner garnered 786,000 followers.

Jenner’s famous daughters praised her for her cover, calling it “beautiful.” “Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way!” stepdaughter Kim tweeted. Earlier, the queen of reality television told Glamour they supported Jenner regardless. "No matter what, we love [Caitlyn]," Kim, 34, told Glamour. "I know [she] feels great that [her] whole family does support [her]."

She also noted that not everyone in the transgender community gets the same encouragement. "I feel for people that don't have that support," she added. "There's such a high suicide rate in the transgender community, which is heartbreaking."
