Caltech won its first conference basketball game in more than 26 years, beating Occidental in the season finale, 46-45.

Caltech finished the season with a record of 5-20. It was its best season since 1995-1996 when it finished with a 4-19 record.

In 2007, the Beavers broke a record 207-game NCAA losing streak with an 81-52 victory over Bard College of New York.

The Division III school is world-renowned for it science and engineering departments. Caltech has produced 31 Nobel Prize winners.
