Season 6 of “Castle” left Beckett (Stana Katic) standing over the flaming car wreck of her fiancé, Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion). The Season 7 premiere, which airs Monday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC, will begin to give fans some answers as to what actually happened, with Beckett on the case. The producer have promised that the new season will pick up right where Season 6 left off and a newly released sneak peek at the opening scene of the premiere reveals that they were not lying.

The premiere opening scene picks up with the exact shot that ended Season 6 -- Beckett standing over the wreck in her wedding dress distraught. When the scene picks up she rushes down to the car, as officers warn there is nothing she can do, but with car engulfed in flames she is helpless. Then, fire hoses cover Beckett and the wreck in water, as she fears the worst.

Fans already know that Castle is not dead and Beckett will not find his body in the car, so where is he? And who was responsible for the attack? Episode 1 will show Beckett racing to find out, but while she may find her would-be husband, fans should not expect all the answers to come right away. TV Guide reports that even after Beckett finds Castle there will be some secrets held that force Beckett to question how much she really knows about her fiancé.

What could those secrets be? Fans will be dying to know, but it might be awhile before they get any answers. Season 7 of “Castle” kicks off on Monday night, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
