Chris “CT” Tamburello will officially join Season 30 in episode 2. MTV

Chris “CT” Tamburello is officially joining Season 30 of “The Challenge” next week. A sneak peek of episode 2 of “Dirty 30” shows the veteran competitor’s arrival, much to the dismay of some of his co-stars.

MTV’s teaser for the forthcoming installment, titled “Shots Fired,” shows CT arriving at “The Challenge” house in the evening after missing the first challenge. Viewers will remember CT was denied entry into Cartagena, Colombia, by customs in the premiere episode and was delayed after having to return to the U.S. get a new passport.

“You think some custom agent is gonna stop me?” CT asks the cameras. He goes on to reveal that he plans to defend his title after winning “The Challenge: Invasion” last season.

“I’m the champ. The reigning champ and you better get used to it,” he adds.

Cara Maria is pleased to see her fellow Boston native in the game. “As far as alliances go, CT my homie, my boy, my Boston brother,” she says.

And while some “Challenge” stars are happy to see CT, others are not so pleased. “I hear these big footsteps. It’s like an earthquake,” Cory tells the cameras. “I already know what that is. It’s CT.”

“CT is back and I’m not happy about it,” Leroy adds. “He’s a very good competitor.”

“In walks CT in all of his dad bod glory. He’s one of those guys that’s a legit game changer,” Johnny Bananas says. “Him coming back into the game is just going to turn the entire house upside down and empty the refrigerator at the same time.”

After just a few minutes in the house, CT goes after Johnny, jokingly accusing him of getting him in trouble with customs. “Take a few days off, roll in fresh as a daisy,” Johnny quips in response.

CT will not be the only one coming into the game late. Briana Lacuesta is shown arriving alongside CT in the sneak peek.

CT’s arrival will be far from the only event fans can look forward to seeing in episode 2. Cory will find himself with a “huge target on his back” after he caught caught trying to “juggle three of his past conquests,” according to MTV’s synopsis for “Shots Fired.” As previously reported, Cory’s has several exes playing in Season 31. Will Cory be up next for elimination?

Elsewhere in the episode, the four players eliminated during the premiere’s “The Purge” will find out their time in the game isn’t over just yet. While it is unclear how they will fight for a spot back on the show, creator Jonathan Murray has teased this season will be one for the books.

“Particularly for ’The Challenge’ we need to constantly be changing the game, changing what we’re doing not only to keep the show interesting for the viewers, but to keep it interesting for those cast members,” Murray told TVGuide.

“We don’t want them coming into a season thinking they know how to play the game. We’ve got to find some ways [to make them go], ‘Oh, it’s not working the same way as before. I need to rethink my strategy.’ We need to keep them on their toes.”

“The Challenge XXX: Dirty 30” episode 2 airs Tuesday, July 25, at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
