Chanel Debuts Largest Bag Ever? Hula Hoop Size Quilted Bag Shown At Paris Fashion Week

A model walked down the runway for the Spring/Summer 2013 show carrying a hula hoop-size black and white Chanel quilted bag, which certainly took attention away from her long legs and colorfully patterned three-toned shoes.

In addition to the over-the-top accessory, Chanel designer Lagerfeld also had models wearing over-sized pearl necklaces and bracelets.

Many celebrities took in the show at the Grand Palais, including Kanye West, model Baptiste Giabiconi, Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend Casper Smart, who all sat in the front row.

Smart seemed to enjoy the Chanel collection, writing on Twitter, “At my 1st fashion show ... #Chanel #Paris.”

Lopez also brought her four-year old daughter Emme to Paris Fashion Week, who wore a pink Chanel dress adorned with the brand’s famous logo.

According to the Daily Mail, the hula hoop Chanel bags are intended for use as a beach bag. 

This is not the first eye-catching bag design that has been made. Earlier this month, singers Cassie and Rihanna were spotted with a Vlieger & Van Dam ‘Guardian Angel’ Gun bag, which is a clutch bag with a gun imprinted on the side. The collection also has bags with knives and handcuffs embossed on them.
