Charles Manson -- the notorious cult leader serving a life sentence at California’s Corcoran State Prison for the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders -- might be getting married.

According to Rolling Stone, the bride-to-be is a 25-year-old brunette woman identified only as Star, who has been visiting Manson, now 79, ever since she was 19. She runs several websites devoted to Manson and his various environmental causes. In 2007, she moved to Corcoran to be closer to Manson, visiting him for several hours every Saturday and Sunday.

"Yeah, well, people can think I'm crazy," she told Rolling Stone. "But they don't know. This is what's right for me. This is what I was born for."

Star was raised near St. Louis in a strict religious family, who watched her closely after she started doing drugs and skipping church, Rolling Stone reported. She became aware of Manson and started corresponding with him when a friend gave her some of his environmental writings. When she was 19, she used her savings to move to Corcoran and start visiting Manson, who nicknamed her Star.

As Rolling Stone points out, Star bears a striking resemblance to Susan Atkins, the Manson “family” member who died in prison while serving a life sentence for her role in the Tate-LaBianca murders. "That b***h was f*****g crazy," Star said. "She was a crazy f*****g whore. 'Oh Charlie, I did this for you.' She didn't know what she was doing."

Even at the age of 79, it seems Manson still has the ability to generate followers. "I'll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married," Star told Rolling Stone. "When that will be, we don't know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven't told anybody about that."

But Manson, who does not get conjugal visits with Star because he is serving a life sentence, says there won’t be any marriage. "Oh that," he told Rolling Stone. "That's a bunch of garbage. You know that, man. That's trash. We're just playing that for public consumption."

On the night of Aug. 9, 1969, members of the Charles Manson “family,” including Charles “Tex” Watson, Linda Kasabian, Susan Atkins and Patricia Krenwinkel, murdered Sharon Tate (wife of film director Roman Polanski), Steven Parent, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger and Wojciech Frkykowski at the home of Tate and Polanski in Los Angeles. The next night, the Manson “family” killed Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.
