Fixer Upper
Was baby number five the real reason Chip and Joanna Gaines decided to end "Fixer Upper?" HGTV

Chip and Joanna Gaines have a big fan base and an even bigger reported net worth. Ahead of the final season premiere of HGTV’s “Fixer Upper” on Tuesday night, get to know how much money your favorite TV personalities make.

While the Gaines family has never revealed details about their fortune -- and why would they? -- their speculated net worth is definitely worth discussing. It has been reported by Celebrity Net Worth that Chip and Joanna are individually worth $8 million. (If you need help doing the math, that’s a whopping $16 million.)

The Gaines couple came to fame in 2013 with the premiere of “Fixer Upper.” After four complete seasons and 61 aired episodes to date, the pair makes $30K per installment from the homeowners on the home-flipping series as well as an “undisclosed fee” from HGTV, according to Time.

Reports swirled following their announced leave from “Fixer Upper” earlier this year that financial and contractual reasons were to blame, but a rep for the couple quickly shut down the rumors. Joanna’s spinoff show, “Fixer Upper: Behind the Design,” set to premiere on HGTV in May 2018, didn’t hurt in helping blast those claims.

While “Fixer Upper” is how the public came to know the Gaines family, the series is just the start of the couple’s fortune. Chip and Joanna own the renovation company Magnolia Homes. There, Joanna works as the lead designer and Chip leads construction. Then there’s Magnolia Reality, their real estate agency which specializes in selling, buying and flipping homes; Magnolia Silos, a boutique marketplace in downtown Waco, Texas, which offers shopping, games, a garden center and food; and Magnolia Stay, a home-rental business.

Fans that are not close to Chip and Joanna’s beloved Waco can shop their online store, Magnolia Market. The site offers items for house and home, gifts, paint, and more. Of course, fans can also check out their new home line with Target, Heart & Hand with Magnolia. Items start at $4.99 and go up to $129.

The couple has also cornered the print market. Subscriptions to their quarterly lifestyle publication Magnolia Journal runs fans $20 for a year-long subscription. Those that don’t want to dish out money for the magazine can catch up with Joanna on her official blog, At Home. The couple has also penned a few books, including the most recent, “Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff,” which debuted in October.

Watch the final season of “Fixer Upper” starring Chip and Joanna Gaines starting Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on HGTV.
