Miami Heat star Chris Bosh was robbed on Thursday night while he was out celebrating his 29th birthday with wife Adrienne.

The Boshes said they returned home to find about $340,000 in rings, watches and purses missing. They also said about $15,000 in cash was gone.

Bosh’ 2012 NBA championship ring wasn't taken.

"We are leaning on the side of this being an inside job," Miami Beach Police spokesman, Bobby Hernandez, told NBC 6 South Florida.

Bosh has two children, but they were unharmed during the robbery. The NBA star left them and a teenager at the home with two babysitters in the early evening before heading to Bayshore Drive to celebrate his birthday at a Moroccan-themed party that started at 9 p.m. The police were called about the robbery at 12:30 a.m.

Those in the house told police they hadn't heard anything. Police have said they suspect this was an inside job because there was no sign of forced entry and the robbers stole specific items.

Police are interviewing housekeepers and checking to see if contractors were recently working at the home. The house has an alarm, but it wasn't activated while the babysitters were there.

Police said the Boshes found a back door and a front door both open when they returned home.

The Miami Heat star told police that there's a surveillance video in the home. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
