He later used Twitter to apologize for his use of words.
I have total respect for Gay community and my intention was not to insult anyone in it, he tweeted.

Michael Vick won the award for Sportsman of the Year while Serena Williams took home the award for Sportswoman of the year. The Young Stars Award was a tie for Jaden Smith and Willow Smith.
Another highlight of the night, though, was the tribute and Lifetime Achievement Award that was presented to Patti LaBelle. CeeLo Green kicked off the tribute to LaBelle while performing dressed like her. Marsha Ambrosius and Shirley Caesat also performed. LaBelle herself also took the stage to sing a medley.
