Chris Rock and Malaak Compton’s marriage has officially ended.

TMZ reported on Tuesday, Aug. 23, that the exes finalized their divorce after appearing in front of a New Jersey judge on Monday.

Rock, 51, and Compton, 47, tied the knot in 1996 and announced that they were ending their marriage in 2014. The former husband and wife have two daughters together, Zahra, 12 and Lola, 14. But at the time of their separation in 2014, reports of a third child from South Africa surfaced.

The third child is an 8-year-old girl named Ntombi, who started living with the Rock family in 2008 when she was just 6 months old.

In the actor’s original divorce filing in Dec. 2015, he said that he and Compton only have two children together. In Compton’s counterclaim, however, she stated that in addition to their two kids, there is a third child whom they raised as their own.

When Rock maintained that Ntombi is not his child, Compton decided to proceed with the adoption process alone, People reported.

In her divorce filing, Compton was demanding child support for Ntombi, but since details of the divorce settlement have not been disclosed, it’s unclear whether Rock is paying by way of child support particularly in the case of Ntombi.

While Rock is newly divorced, the “Saturday Night Live” alum isn’t really single. According to Page Six, Rock has been dating “Arrow” actress Megalyn Echikunwoke for nearly a year.

“They’ve been having sleepovers at his house in New Jersey,” a source told Page Six last April. “She seems really comfortable with him at home and they’re very affectionate with each other.”

“He’s very much a gentleman to her and she seems smitten,” added the source. “When she leaves the house for the day, he makes a point to walk her to the door and give her a goodbye kiss.”

Rock’s romance with Echikunwoke is his first serious relationship since his breakup with Compton.
