Paraguay
Paraguay's goalkeeper Villar celebrates with teammates after they beat Brazil in the penalty shootout at the Copa America in La Plata.

Brazil went crashing out of the Copa America 2011 after failing to find the net in a dismal shootout against Paraguay, who made it into the semi-finals.

The game went into penalties after a goalless draw at the end of extra time, though Brazil had numerous chances and could have, should have, finished the game earlier.

On the contrary, Paraguay weren't able to test Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar. Their own keeper, Justo Villar was kept busy all evening by Brazil, but he performed admirably, capping it with a fine save in the shootouts.

Extra time also saw Lucas Leiva and Antolin Alcaraz sent off from each team for their role in an altercation.

The Paraguayans will face either Chile or Venezuela in the second semi-final in Mendoza on Wednesday.
