West Africa's Ivory Coast (Known as Cote d Ivoire in French) is set to increase its gold output by three folds by 2015.

According to country's mines and geology ministry, the purposed new three mines will help it achieve the target of 20 tones per year by 2015.

At present, the country, which leads in cocoa production, produces about 7 tones from mines. Its three major mines are the Societe des Mines D'Ity, LGL, and Cluff.
