Cyberlink has come up with PowerDVD to the Android platform, with OEM availability, enabling manufacturers to bundle it with Android handsets.

The android device app is designed with DLNA capabilities to play videos, photos, and audio files on mobile devices allowing users to enjoy multimedia entertainment anytime, anywhere, the company said in a statement.

The video format has support system, including DivX/Xvid and HD video in.MKV format, it said.

Another features of PowerDVD for the green robot are 3D playback, as well as 2D-to-3D conversion of photos and video on devices with the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset.

Android already has video playback format support, but apps like PowerDVD will make it better, said the company.
