There have been several positive updates on Damar Hamlin's condition Thursday morning. According to the Buffalo Bills, Hamlin's agents and one of his teammates, the 24-year-old is showing more signs of improvement.

Hamlin remains in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest Monday night on the field at Paycor Stadium during a game between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. Hamlin's health seemed to be moving in a positive direction Wednesday, and there is even more good news regarding his condition a day later.

"Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours," the Bills said in a statement. "While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress.

"We are grateful for the love and support we have received."

Shortly before the Bills provided an update, Agency 1 Sports, which represents Hamlin, said the safety had made substantial improvement overnight. Bills cornerback Kaiir Elam tweeted that Hamlin is awake and improving.

"Our boy is doing better, awake and showing signs of improvement," Elam said on Twitter.

Hamlin's heartbeat was restored Monday night after being treated with both CPR and AED on the field. He was placed in an ambulance and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he's been for the last three days.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday morning that Damar Hamlin's father, Mario Hamlin, spoke with the Bills over Zoom Wednesday, informing them that Damar was making progress.
