Abby Lee Miller will pit two of her longtime dancers against one another in next Tuesday’s installment of “Dance Moms.” Fresh off her duet battle with Brynn Rumfallo, Kendall Vertes will find herself going head-to-head with Nia Frazier in episode 20.

The synopsis for the Season 6 installment “Nia and Kendall Face Off” reveals Abby will assign the two elite junior teammates dueling trios. Kendall is given a “Charlie’s Angels” inspired number with JoJo Siwa and Kalani Hilliker while Nia is gifted a routine with male guest dancers Jalen Parker and Simone Johnson.

While Holly Frazier was thrilled by Abby’s renewed interested in Nia in the premiere, her daughter’s trio assignment will not sit too well with her. “Holly brings Nia’s manager to the studio after suspecting Abby has as hidden agenda for her daughter,” the synopsis reveals.

Elsewhere in the episode, the elite junior team will a be granted a challenging number. “The moms aren’t satisfied with the group’s tribute to Madonna,” the summary teases. And while Abby has always instructed her students to save their tears for their pillow, all that criticism may finally get to her. The coach will ditch her students after their “technique is criticized at the competition.”

The results from Fierce Dance Competition in Fresno, California, on April 23 seem to indicate why Abby left her students high and dry. One “Dance Moms” spoiler site reports the Madonna piece took home second in the teen division and fourth overall. Kendall’s trio “Abby’s Angels” didn’t fare much better, placing third overall, but Nia’s trio was able to pull out a big win. “Love Anyone You Want To” is said to have taken home first in the teen division and third overall.

Catch “Dance Moms” Season 6, episode 20 on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
