Abby Lee Miller took a break from “Dance Moms” one year ago to go under the knife and she just underwent another surgery.

After seeking the help of surgeons to correct a longtime issue with her knee last April, the 50-year-old former Lifetime reality star got a little help with her weight loss journey by recently undergoing a gastric sleeve procedure. After getting her stomach shrunk 80 percent, Abby told ET Online she’s on a strongly liquid diet for the next three weeks.

“They said to buy a shot glass and put the water and protein shakes and these little milk shakes in the shot glass and drink it one ounce at a time,” she told the publication. “So I’m just going to do shots for three weeks. That’s my game plan.”

Abby said the surgery is helping her feel more “in control” of her life, claiming she was she was laughed off by the “Dance Moms” production team at one point for trying to live a vegan lifestyle.

“When you’re so busy shooting 12 hours a day, you just eat what someone sticks in front of you. Now I feel a lot freer and more confident in my everyday activities,” she said. “I think this is a good thing, and hopefully I’ll be in the best shape of my life.”

In April 2016, Abby announced on Instagram that she was putting her students and TV show aside to get work done on her knee after months of receiving injections at the site. “This was the real deal!!!” Abby commented of the surgery, sharing a photo of herself in a hospital gown. “Thank you for all the well wishes! I appreciate each and every one of you!”
