February is a short month, but “Days of Our Lives” is cramming in the drama.

The Friday, Jan. 29, episode of the NBC soap opera concluded with the residents of Salem making some bold decisions. After getting bossed around by Kate (Lauren Koslow) for too long, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Theresa (Jen Lilley) agreed that it was time for them to launch their own label. Meanwhile, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) took an interest in Eric’s (Greg Vaughn) well-being after finding him drinking in the park. But the biggest jaw-dropper was Andre (Thaao Penghlis) breaking into Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) place and discovering her gun was missing three bullets. Andre vowed to make her pay for what she did.

So, what’s next on “Days of Our Lives”? February won’t miss a beat when it comes to passion and payback in Salem.

NBC viewers will revisit the Steve (Stephen Nichols), Ava (Tamara Braun) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) love triangle. Ava previously kidnapped Kayla to force Steve into helping her search for their son. However, it looks like Ava has other plans for her former lover.

“If you want Kayla free, you know what you have to do,” a scantily clad Ava tells Steve in a promotional video. “Your wife’s life is in my hands.”

Will Steve agree to sleep with the enemy to get his wife back? A synopsis posted on We Love Soaps teases that Joey (James Lastovic) will catch his dad in a “private moment” with Ava.

Elsewhere, Nicole and Theresa will move ahead with their plans to break free of Kate. But Brady (Eric Martsolf) could potentially tear the business partners apart. Ever since the heart transplant, he’s been dreaming of a “mysterious woman.” Could it be Nicole? That might not be their biggest problem, though. The synopsis for the week adds that Kate “finds Deimos [Vincent Irizarry] intriguing.” Nothing good can come of that partnership.

Other highlights of the week include Ciara (Vivian Jovanni) confronting Chase (Jonathon McClendon) about a secret he’s been hiding. It will shake up the whole family, and Hope will turn to Rafe (Galen Gering) for support. Eric will also force Jennifer to face the truth that she’s been abusing her painkillers.

What are you looking forward to watching unfold? Catch “Days of Our Lives” on NBC Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. EST.
