UPDATE 2:50 p.m. EST: D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said three men and one women were the victims in the shooting. Two of the victims were seriously wounded; the others are in stable condition. A gunman and several people are in custody.

UPDATE 2:29 p.m. EST: WUSA is reporting that all the victims are males and that the shooting occurred near a Payless shoe store in northeast Washington.

Multiple people were reportedly shot on a Washington, D.C., street Wednesday afternoon.

According to NBC Washington, four people were struck by bullets around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday. Neither the victims’ names nor the severity of their injuries were known.

Police are still looking for the suspect in the D.C. shootings, according to CBS affiliate WUSA 9.
