What was supposed to be the best summer for campers and camp counselors turned out to be the most horrible experience of their lives. Freeform’s “Dead Of Summer” revealed a shocking twist about Amy in Season 1, episode 9. The innocent young girl is actually a serial killer aching to be free. Amy killed her family, all of the deceased camp counselors, Deb and her best friend Margo in order to be with the one person who understood her – the demon Malphas.

Meanwhile, Jessie (Paulina Singer), Alex (Ronen Rubenstein) and Garrett (Alberto Frezza) believed that they had rid Amy (Elizabeth Lail) of the demon in the penultimate episode of the Freeform horror series.

What will happen in the Season 1 finale? The official synopsis of episode 10 states that as summer comes to a close, the centuries-old battle between good and evil at Lake Stillwater will be settled once and for all.

“Dead Of Summer” executive producers Adam Horowitz, Edward Kitsis and Ian Goldberg teased about the season finale during an interview to Entertainment Weekly. Drew (Zela Willaims) and Blair (Mark Indelicato) rode off on a bus with the campers towards the end of episode 9. Is that the last we saw of them? “If I were writing this show, I’d bring them back, and luckily I am,” Horowitz told the website. He also added, “There might be some ghost curtain calls to come.” Which means, we will see the murdered camp counselors, Drew and Blair in episode 10.

The producers also spoke to TVLine and revealed that the Season 1 finale will explain why Jessie has an affinity for the supernatural. She can easily tap into the supernatural. Remember how Cricket (Amber Coney) chose to contact her instead of Blair in order to warn everyone about the demon?

Furthermore, Malphas’ endgame will be revealed.
