“Deadpool” is one of the most awaited films of 2016. The first trailer was just released, and it looks promising. Director Tim Miller says the film also featured the comic book character Garrison Kane, but he was later removed due to budget constraints.

“We had Garrison Kane in there for a while, but in the final round of budget cuts we had to take him out, because he was a pretty expensive dude. He’s got these bionic arms that change shape; he would have been a visual effect for a large part of the movie,” Miller told Empire.

In the Marvel comics, Kane is the member of a group called the Six Pack. He is a mercenary and has cybernetic enhancements that give him superhuman powers. He can lift about 20 tons and can run at a very high speed. He is resistant to any kind of injury. His arms are made up of liquid metal and can be transformed into various kinds of weapons. He is also known by the name of Weapon X and made his first appearance in the comic book “Appearance of Death.”

Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld created the character.

Meanwhile, Miller also spoke about the two interesting characters of the film, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Colossus is seven and half feet tall and has been created using CG. Andre Tricoteux plays the character.

About Negasonic, played by Brianna Hildebrand, Miller said, “Negasonic, which I just thought was a freaky, funny name. And I sent this list over to the writers, Rhett [Reese] and Paul [Wernick], and they were like, 'Oh my ….. God, we have to use her!' So that’s how she ended up in the movie. Her name was cool.”

Other interesting characters in the movie include Angel Dust, played by Gina Carano, and Weasel, played by T.J. Miller. The film stars Ryan Reynolds in the title role Wade Wilson/Deadpool. It opens Feb. 12, 2016.
