Actor Ryan Reynolds is currently on a press tour promoting his new movie “Self/less.” However, he revealed via Twitter that his next stop will be none other than the San Diego Comic-Con to promote his highly anticipated “Deadpool” movie.

While fans will get to see Reynolds next in the action-packed sci-fi thriller “Self/less,” alongside Ben Kingsley, most of his fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming “Deadpool” movie and wondering when they’ll get their first real look at the Merc with a Mouth in action. While speaking to Collider, the 38-year-old actor confirmed the rumors that the real Deadpool will join his cadre of cosplay counterparts at the big event in San Diego.

“Yeah, I am ready to go. I’m really excited about it actually,” he said. “I’ve only been there once and it’s mayhem, but, you know, we’re coming in with a ton of goodwill and a truly great film so I’m really happy about that.”

After the interview, Reynolds took to Twitter to confirm the news with a hilarious image of Wade Wilson hitchhiking his way to California.

It’s unclear exactly what “Deadpool” will be showing at Comic-Con. However, as the ComicBook.com notes, he’ll likely be the main staple behind Fox’s Saturday panel from 5:45 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. PT. Not much is known about the film, but hopefully director Tim Miller is ready to give fans their first teaser trailer for the 2016 movie given that production wrapped some five weeks ago.

Reynolds opened up about the “Deadpool” movie during an appeance at AOL Build in Manhattan on Monday. While he openly discussed the film, he didn’t give any confirmation that a crossover with “X-Men” star Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is headed fan’s way in 2016. It seems like fans will just have to wait until “Deadpool” debuts whatever it has planned at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.
