LONDON - British insurer Aviva has attracted enough investor demand to cover the 1.2 billion euro ($1.8 billion) initial public offering of Delta Lloyd, people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

The deal, which has been covered since Friday morning, will close on Nov. 2.

Aviva is offering 38.4 percent of its Dutch unit in Europe's second biggest IPO this year behind Poland's top utility PGE.
