Demi Lovato got slimed at the Kids’ Choice Awards, but she didn’t get mad at all despite getting completely drenched by the green gooey slime at the start of the show. In fact, the “Stone Cold” hitmaker joked about the incident on social media.

On Saturday evening, Lovato attended the 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards in support of her new movie, “Smurfs: The Lost Village.” She went up on stage at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles to promote the upcoming animated movie and was even joined by a woman dressed as a smurf. Unbeknown to Lovato, the smurf was not just any ordinary one; she was actually a slimy smurf who would signal the crew when to splash the sticky substance all over the actress-singer. Lovato was obviously caught off-guard since she was standing on the side of the stage, but she ended up smiling in front of the kids who cheered for her.

After the sliming incident, Lovato took to Instagram to post a photo of how she looked before she was bathed in slime. The “Cool for the Summer” songstress can be seen flashing a big smile in the full-body shot of her in a bright orange dress. In a close-up shot, Lovato can be seen sporting a subtle smile with a full face of makeup. She captioned the image, “Before I got SLIMED,” and used a smiling face with open mouth and closed eyes emoji to express her feelings about the sliming incident.

Days before her appearance at the awards show, Lovato joined the protest of millions of women on International Women’s Day. She uploaded a black and white photo of protesters waving a banner that says “women of the world unite” on the photo-sharing platform and captioned it: “Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

Lovato is undeniably in a happy place these days. Early this week, she created an Instagram account for her Yorkshire rerrier/miniature poodle named Batman. The former Disney Channel star has since been posting adorable photos of the pooch on the account @demisbatman, which already has more than 20 thousand followers as of press time.

In addition to having a lovely furball to spend time with, Lovato is also enjoying some quality time with boyfriend Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos every now and then. Just last week, the MMA fighter uploaded a snap of him locking lips with Lovato on Instagram, which many of the singer’s fans liked.
