With the perfect mix of Disney, Marvel and "Star Wars" characters, it's easy to see why fans are anticipating “Disney Infinity 3.0.” But they won’t have to wait too long because the game finally has an official release date. “Disney Infinity 3.0” has been scheduled for an Aug. 30 release and will be available for Sony's PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, the PC and Steam.

The game will come with a starter pack for those who want to get started or haven’t picked up the previous versions. Unlike the others, the starter pack for “Disney Infinity 3.0” will have a "Star Wars" theme, particularly from the popular Clone Saga cartoon, as Anakin and Ahsoka will be the figurines available in the starter pack, which is priced at $64.99.

Those wanting a little more classic "Star Wars" can buy the “Star Wars Saga Bundle” for “Disney Infinity 3.0,” as this playset will include the previous two characters plus Luke Skywalker, Bobba Fett and Princess Leia, as reported by Kotaku. The bundle will also come with the “Twilight of the Republic” playset available in the “Disney Infinity 3.0” starter pack and the “Rise Against the Empire’ set for the classic characters.

Other “Disney Infinity 3.0” items that will be available during launch time include “Star Wars Rebels” figures, “Disney Pixar’s 'Inside Out'” playset featuring Joy and Anger, “Inside Out” Figures of Disgust, Fear and Sadness, a “Tomorrowland” Power Disc Pack and a number of Disney figures. According to GameSpot, the Disney Figures will feature classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as well as more recent characters like Olaf from “Frozen,” Sam Flynn, Quorra and Mulan.

Fans who pre-order any version of “Disney Infinity 3.0” will also get the Toy Box Takeover expansion for free. This is essentially a multiplayer version of the Toy Box mode, which will allow players to use any of the figurines to interact with each other.

More “Disney Infinity 3.0” sets and figures will be available this fall, as well as Toy Box Speedway, a kart-racing game featuring the characters from “Disney Infinity 3.0.” With all these characters and settings, it seems the game could last all the way to infinity and beyond.
